Twenty Five members and a guest set off, after a full English. The weather was sunny and warm and the course looked in good nick. Why there was not one rake on the course is a mystery!!! Good scoring was expected, but not quite as good as Jonny managed. Boy did he play well, and boy has he suffered for such a grand performance!!!!!!
Longest Drive on the 5th was a monster from Craig. I cannot think of a game where he has not won something!!! The only reason for this that I can think of, is that he is such a good player!!!
Nearest The Pin on the 163 yard par 3 16th was Arron, but he didn't manage a two!!!
Jonny played with the handicap secretary, and really impressed!!!! Jonny, playing off "31", never made errors that you normally expect from a high handicapper, and without a blob scored 23 points on the front 9.(1-4 pointer and 5- 3pointers). The back 9 was very similar with only 1 blob and 18 points. NOW...playing off 31 and being 10 shots above average does mean the largest cut ever witnessed in the Dogleg( 30.6 - 5.2 = 25.4 - 2 for winning), so now off 23.4..... Well done Mr Jonny Lawrence.
Nearest the Pin in Three, on the par 5 18th hole, Craig S.
Gary, making a rare appearance, scored the only 2 at the par 3 12th. Nice to see you Gary.
Guest Prize went to Kenny, with 33 points. He cancelled his 5th cruise of the year to make a very welcome appearance.
