28 members attended the charity day, which was in aid of the Desborough Community Day Centre. Raffle prizes were in abundance, the golf course was in good condition with slick greens, so we were set up for a great day. Lots of points were scored and we had a surprise winner!!!
Phil had not swung a club for a couple of months as he busted his knee again. With 6 pars and 3 over on the front 9 he amassed 23 points. Another 16 points on the back 9 gave him the winning total of 39 points. Welcome back Phil, nuff said.
Steve was a close second on 38 points, scoring 20 on the front and 18 on the back.
He had a good day all round, also taking the Nearest the Pin and Nearest in 2 prizes. No photos of these as I figured the runners up photo was scary enough!!!!
Long Tom did it again, smashing a monster on the 16th. He nearly managed a smile!!!
Tom is back on top of the Order of Merit and Eclectic. Can he be stopped from doing the "double" again?????
Many thanks to you all for your raffle and cash donations. You are a very generous bunch of hackers indeed. We raised a brilliant amount of £500 for Marlow House. This included £25 from David for a "Speed Stick", so we will some some extra yards on his drives I'm sure!! Steve donated £100 for a Mitre Saw, so check for missing fingers!! Thanks also to those of you who donated your Dogleg Credit. I'm not sure if James realised he had £48 in the pot!!
Many thanks on behalf of Marlow House.
