The weather was warm, the full English was excellent, the golf had highs and some very lows!! I expect no further verbal abuse from "Pudding", as he will now be playing with a handicap of 1.
Unfortunately there were a few card errors so scroll down to see the photos and full results.
New boy James, with a handicap of 6, showed everybody the way round our first visit to Whetstone. His posted score of 36 points has been adjusted to 35 as his card showed 3 for 3 on the par 3 12th, but unfortunately he did not have a shot, so scored 2 points. Luckily this didn't alter the positions as he was still 4 points ahead of second spot.
Not only did James win, he also took Nearest the Pin in 2 on the par 4 5th, and was the only player to card a 2, taking the cash on the 163 yard par 3 14th.
Well done James.
Three players scored 31 points. Warren carded 32 points, but was incorrectly given 2 points for a 6 for 5 on the par 4 11th!! Tom and Stuart also scored 31 points, with Tom taking second spot with the best back 9 of 18 points.
We need to start checking the top scores on the day please and would both player and marker please agree the gross score and points scored after each hole.
A monster drive on the 15th saw Aaron take the prize. A new "Mr Muscles" emerges!!
Nearest the Pin on the 133 yard Par 3 17th was won by "Pistol" Pete with a cracking shot.
