Rather than go to the planned venue of Morocco....AGAIN, we decided to visit Wales. On arrival we found that the Dogleg were sharing the venue with the Welsh national football team, who were preparing for their World Cup qualifier on the Wednesday. We didn't let this spoil the event. The 4 days proved a great success and thanks must go to organiser Deano, who once again masterminded the event. Unfortunately Dean tested positive the day before leaving, so had to pull out. His co-organiser, Phillipoo, took the reigns and made sure everything ran like a well oiled machine. Well done Phil.
The main event is always the Red v Blue team game with the winner taking the RYDOG Cup. The team comp runs on a similar format to the Ryder Cup plus individual comps each day, an overall Order of Merit and Eclectic, with Andy organising a putting comp and Tony W. promoting a Par 3 comp. So it's a hectic exciting time.
We arrived on the Tuesday morning, so to introduce us all to the Wales National course we played a Texas Scramble, which was a fun event and not part of the main competition.
The Red Team were lead by Dogleg Captain Russ Owen. They appeared a little confused, with some thinking they would like to be in the blue team, some not quite sure and others in Team White!!!!(from left to right)

Day two, on the Wales National, was Day 1 of the Rydog Cup. It was a better ball stableford pairs match. The draw was made over breakfast. Overnight saw a pissed Bill falling over in his bedroom and bruising his ribs and Bob deciding his recently amputated finger top was probably not ready for more golf. Both pulled out of the competition but joined the throng of Dogleg spectators.
The Rydog Cup on this first day was a draw with both teams on 2 1/2 points each.
