A hot round preceded by a hot full English led to a day full of scoring errors, that once again affected the leader board!!! There were 8 cards in error, with 13 mistakes made!!
Once again I must reiterate that after each hole both marker and player should agree the gross, nett and points scored. The cards of the top 3 scorers should be checked prior to the prize giving.
Bob(34), that was his handicap, not age!!! He is the oldest player(78) in the Society and he stuffed the rest of us. Didn't he do well. He did have 2 card errors which luckily cancelled each other out, so his 35 points was the clear winner. Well done Bob(28).......hope your happy with that?? "Bring It On" I hear him cry.
This is the sad bit for Dan. I agree with him that his marker was to blame, so don't feel too Desperate Dan!! He carded 4 errors which dropped him from 32 points to 30 and 5th place.
Jonny, with 31 points took the official second spot behind Bob.
Bob hit a masterful shot into the 13th hole to take Nearest the Pin prize and also the dosh for the only 2 of the day, which was a 5 pointer for him!!!!!! He also scored 2 4 pointers. His 13 points from these 3 holes have left him on top of the Eclectic Table. If you look at the "Best Scores Analysis" report below, you will also see Bob in each section apart from the Par 5's.
Young Jack launched a monstrous drive at the 16th, which stopped just short of the greenside bunker!!!!!
The not so young Waddy, played a fine second shot on the par 4 4th to take the prize. Sadly he missed the birdie putt, but Bob has offered putting lessons!!
