21 members and 3 guests set off, after a bacon roll...... which was never caught!! The weather was sunny and the course looked in good nick, especially after the week of rain. Unfortunately, the club had omitted to tell us that there were 7 temporary greens!!! Also, unfortunately, the dreaded slow play disease infected the day. When reports come back that 2 groups were often waiting on the same tee, then you know all is not well!!! Despite all our woes there was some good scores recorded. Vice Captain Mat R. took over from Pepe for the day and presented the prizes. A piece of Dogleg history occurred???
We could have another historic event occur after Silverstone, with a certain big person winning all 3 presentation trophies!!!!!!!
WINNER for the 3rd time this season(there's the History), was Big Tom. He scored an excellent 35 points, despite being cut twice already. Well done Tom..... now 11.8. Ricky came a very close second on 34 points, with Richard and Phil on 33. Ricky and Craig W. took the 2's cash. Craig's 2 was impressive, probably being the first ever 2 scored on a par 4. He now joins Richard on the Eagles list.
The Angelic looking Dan had a great round and took the Guest prize. Not so desperate now Dan for that first win!!
Phil was Nearest the Pin on the 9th. Not sure what happened to Nearest in 2 on the 2nd hole??
Paul got one on the fairway and took the Longest Drive!!!
