Our second event of the year was a lovely warm day on a course in good nick, although as Waddy said, the greenkeeper was having a bad day when he picked some of the flag positions!! We had 19 members and 4 guests. Unfortunately Captain Ricky was incapacitated and didn't make it to the first tee. He woke up later!!!
THE WINNER -CHRIS
Chris Fox(26) took the top spot, with 33 points. This was a fine round, with the average score being a lowly 22 points. He had a great back 9 scoring 19 points. Unfortunately Chris(22) had to shoot off, not knowing of his first victory as a member.
RUNNER UP & Longest Drive RICHARD
Six points behind our winner, Richard(1), took the runner up spot. He also took the Longest Drive, hitting a monster at the 6th, which nobody got anywhere near, many with their second shot!!
Guest Winner & Nearest Pin in 2 KENNY
Kenny(9) was the only other player with over 30 points. His 31 points took the Guest prize, and his second shot at the par 4 17th gave him Nearest the Pin in 2. The distance he was from the hole suggests that no other player managed to get on the green!! Well done Kenny.
Nearest The Pin - PEPE
Pepe hit a great shot on the par 3 3rd to take the prize, and then sunk his birdie putt. He graciously opted to leave his winning £23 in the pot for Xmas.
